Laurie Bigham, RN, FACHE

Vice President, Clinical Projects

As Ardent’s vice president of clinical projects, Laurie Bigham helps guide the implementation of strategic business and IT initiatives, serving as a liaison between clinical leadership, nursing and other business functions. In addition to working with the Epic implementation team to create and align policies, procedures and standards of care with EMR workflows, Ms. Bigham leads Ardent’s Chief Nursing Officer Council and its work to reduce clinical variation and execute other strategic nursing initiatives. She also serves as the company’s executive sponsor for patient experience initiatives, including HCAHPS.

A nurse leader with more than 20 years of management experience, Ms. Bigham previously served as chief nursing officer of 318-bed Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, she restructured clinical and patient care operations, improving quality outcomes and financial performance. Prior to joining the Ardent system in 2011, she held a variety of nursing leadership roles within both Dignity Health (formerly Catholic Healthcare West) in Pasadena, California, and Citrus Valley Health Partners in Covina, California.

Ms. Bigham earned an MBA from the University of Memphis and undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Tennessee at Memphis. She is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
