Dr. Steve Landgarten is the company's top quality and clinical resource. He leads clinical excellence and quality performance improvement for Ardent's hospitals. Dr. Landgarten is a practicing internal medicine and endocrinology physician with nearly 40 years of experience. He is also the director of clinical research for Utica Park Clinic - a large multispecialty physician practice group.

Dr. Landgarten is board certified in internal medicine and nuclear medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. He is a clinical professor of internal medicine for the University of Oklahoma's College of Medicine. He is currently chairman of the Federation of American Hospitals Quality Committee. He has served on a number of councils and boards with the American Hospital Association and is a former president of the Tulsa Medical Education Foundation. He is also widely published in the area of endocrinology, obesity and diabetes, hypertension, degenerative joint disease, neurology and infectious disease.

Dr. Landgarten received a bachelor's of science degree from City University of New York and a medical degree from State University of New York. His internship and residency were completed at Montefiore Hospital & Medical Center in the Bronx, and he completed two fellowships at the Yale University College of Medicine in New Haven, Conn. He also served as a major in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
