Top Diversity Leaders in Healthcare - 2022
This year’s Top Diversity Leaders in Healthcare use a variety of strategies to widen access to care and build communities of wellness. In addition to the spotlighted individuals, Modern Healthcare has selected nine organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to diversity in their workforces, including at an executive and board level. Inequality in healthcare is a problem requiring creative solutions. Modern Healthcare’s Top Diversity Leaders program recognizes those forging the way.
Terika Richardson - Chief operating officer, Ardent Health Services
Richardson oversees operations across Ardent Health Services. She is a strong supporter of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at the system, such as Ardent’s organization-wide DEI Council and its local councils focusing on market-specific issues. Ardent emphasizes a sense of belonging for staff, patients and communities, including through training for employees and resource groups like Women at Ardent. Before joining Ardent, Richardson served as president of Advocate Aurora Health’s Central Chicagoland Patient Service Area. She was recently elected to the American Hospital Association Board of Trustees.
