Dave Courtney

Dave Courtney brings 25 years of tax and healthcare experience to the lead tax role at Ardent. Having been with Ardent since its inception in 2001, Mr. Courtney is the architect of the company’s strong practices in tax planning, incentives, tax accounting and compliance.

Previously, he held the same position with the company’s predecessor, Behavioral Healthcare Corporation. He has also served as tax manager for Community Health Systems and as tax senior staff accountant with Ernst & Young working on large and medium-sized engagements.

Mr. Courtney is a certified public accountant and a past president of Tax Executives Institute, Nashville Chapter. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah, where he also earned his master’s degree in professional accountancy, with an emphasis in tax.
