Joey Abney
Vice President, Facilities Management
Joey Abney brings more than 35 years of healthcare design and construction experience to his role as vice president of Facilities Management at Ardent. He is responsible for developing long term facility plans; overseeing facility construction projects; optimizing facility costs; assuring facility codes/safety compliance and providing a safe and efficient working environment.
Previously, Mr. Abney served as vice president of Design, Construction and Plant Operations at IASIS Healthcare and construction manager at HCA.
He earned his bachelor of science degree in Business Management from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Mr. Abney serves on the boards of Healthtrust Purchasing Group, Facility Infrastructure Advisory Board (FIAB) and the Williamson County (TN) Public Building Authority. In addition, he volunteers for Special Olympics and Best Buddies in his community.
