Julie Harrigan, MD
Vice President, Physician Informatics
Dr. Harrigan has been a physician advisor for clinical informatics to Ardent Health Services for over a decade. She works closely with hospital leadership, physician organizations and medical staffs to oversee and advise on the continuous improvement of the electronic heath record, its workflows and content.
One of the founding and current members of the Ardent Physician Advisory Council, Dr. Harrigan also is the lead physician to the Provider Clinical Service Lines, bringing together physicians from every Ardent market to establish consensus on standards of care in clinical best practices, efficiency and quality of care for our patients. Finally, she serves as Ardent’s representative on the Epic Hospitalist Steering Board, as a member of the Association of Medical Director of Informatics and as a board member of the New Mexico Health Information Exchange Committee.
A graduate of the Universidad Autonoma de Guadajalara medical school in Mexico, Dr. Harrigan's first residency was in general surgery in Sonora, Mexico and her second residency was in Family Medicine at the University of New Mexico. She is board-certified as a Family Medicine Hospitalist and is a longstanding Hospice and Palliative Care provider.
