Matthew "Collin" Brown

As senior healthcare counsel, Collin Brown focuses on operations, transactions and regulatory matters for Ardent’s health systems, hospitals and physician groups. He has broad experience in healthcare mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, federal and state regulatory and licensure issues, contracts, compliance matters, corporate governance, bond issues and financings, leasing and transactional real estate matters, clinical research and intellectual property. Previously, Mr. Brown worked for MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare system in Washington, D.C. and Community Health Systems, a publicly-traded investor-owned healthcare company in Nashville, TN.
He graduated from Samford University with a bachelor’s degree in English literature and a minor in business administration and received his J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Mr. Brown serves on the Board of Directors of Blood:Water Mission, a not-for-profit equipping agency that partners with African grassroots organizations to address the water and HIV/AIDS crises.
