Matthew Kroplin
Vice President, Assistant General Counsel, Oklahoma & Kansas
As vice president, assistant general counsel, Matt Kroplin manages the legal needs of Ardent hospitals, health systems, and physician groups; advises health system executives on strategic initiatives and implements the legal aspects; and provides advice on day-to-day operational, regulatory, and transactional matters.
Prior to joining Ardent, Mr. Kroplin was a partner at the law firm Burr & Forman LLP where he provided counsel to a broad range of healthcare industry clients, including hospitals and health systems, physician practices, drug and alcohol treatment centers, surgery centers and other business entities.
Mr. Kroplin graduated from Vanderbilt Law School, where he was a member of the Health Law Society and the Moot Court Board. In addition, he earned his master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Tennessee State University, received his undergraduate degree from Lipscomb University and is certified in healthcare compliance (CHC) by the Health Care Compliance Association.
