Thomas "T.J." Schaffer
Vice President, Corporate Operations Counsel
T.J. Schaffer focuses on corporate and system-wide operational matters for Ardent’s corporate departments and hospitals. As a corporate attorney, his previous experience is comprised of information technology, group purchasing, and other corporate operational work for a broad range of clients, including internal and external business leaders in a prior in-house role and while in private practice. His legal experience includes assisting corporate and hospital leadership in navigating information technology operational issues; HIPAA and security and compliance matters; and analyzing and providing guidance on group purchasing and other corporate arrangements.
Mr. Schaffer graduated from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana with a B.A. in Rhetoric and a minor in business. He received a J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. While at the Cumberland School of Law, he served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board. Mr. Schaffer received a masters of business administration degree from Belmont University.
