Vice President, Clinical Outcomes and High Reliability

As vice president for clinical outcomes high reliability, Tracy O’Daniel leads the clinical outcomes and patient safety initiatives for Ardent’s Amarillo/Harker Heights and UT Health East Texas markets.  She oversees the development of a quality strategy for each organization and works closely with the quality team and hospital senior leaders to achieve their strategic plan goals and objectives. In addition, Ms. O’Daniel is also leading the rollout of the “Mission Zero: Our Culture of Safety” high reliability organization (HRO) program which she was instrumental in developing for the UT Health East Texas market. 

Most recently, Ms. O’Daniel led quality, risk, patient safety and performance improvement at UT Health East Texas in Tyler, Texas, first as director then as vice president.  In addition to her work on “Mission Zero,” she achieved a significant improvement in quality outcomes through her focus on achieving the best possible outcome and experience for both patient and caregiver.  Before moving to East Texas, she worked in quality and clinical operations for Intermountain Healthcare in Utah.

Ms. O’Daniel received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler, a master of science degree from Drexel University and a master of health care administration degree from Walden University. She is certified in Lean and Six Sigma, Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety.
