Fall 2025 Safety Grade is a national recognition for commitment to patient safety
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (Nov. 13, 2025) – Ardent Health (NYSE: ARDT), a leading provider of healthcare in growing mid-sized urban communities across the U.S., today announced that nine of its facilities earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety. Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country using evidence-based measures of patient safety focused exclusively on errors, accidents, injuries and infections.
“These results reflect the dedication our teams bring to doing what’s right for patients—every shift, every day,” said Marty Bonick, president and CEO of Ardent Health. “We’re proud to see our hospitals recognized for their commitment to safety and continuous improvement. That focus on delivering the best possible care is what defines Ardent.”
For fall 2025, 88% of Ardent’s eligible facilities earned an “A” or “B” Hospital Safety Grade compared to 58% of eligible hospitals nationally. The nine Ardent facilities that earned an “A” grade include:
- Bailey Medical Center (Owasso, Oklahoma)
- Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center (Westwood, New Jersey)
- Hillcrest Hospital Claremore (Claremore, Oklahoma)
- Hillcrest Hospital South (Tulsa, Oklahoma)
- Hillcrest Medical Center (Tulsa, Oklahoma)
- Lovelace Women's Hospital (Albuquerque, New Mexico)
- Seton Medical Center Harker Heights (Harker Heights, Texas)
- UT Health Henderson (Henderson, Texas)
- UT Health Jacksonville (Jacksonville, Texas)
“Earning an ‘A’ Grade means Ardent Health teams made a true commitment to put patient safety first,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “We congratulate the leaders, Boards, clinicians, team members and volunteers that all had a role to play in this achievement.”
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade stands as the only hospital ratings program focused solely on preventable medical errors, infections and injuries that kill more than 500 patients a day in the United States. This program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
