Carlene Callis

Carlene Callis leads Ardent’s enterprise-wide growth efforts with a focus on creating value and leveraging the organization’s scale to support the continuing evolution of healthcare delivery. She is responsible for identifying and developing processes and “systemness” across Ardent’s more than 200 sites of care.

With more than 25 years of healthcare experience, Ms. Callis has worked as a consultant and health system executive. Prior to joining Ardent in October 2022, she served as corporate vice president at HCA Healthcare with responsibility for market growth and development as well as operations of key service lines across the enterprise.

Ms. Callis holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in healthcare administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
